He was almost always an end, not a tackle.
He was mostly an end, but did play DT some over the years. I mentioned Bunkley b/c we are thin at DT and he was a good run stuffer. I think we are worse off at DT than at DE.

Maybe, the Pats don't have a true base defense and most of their nickle/dime defenses are based on a 4 man front.

Yea I agree, Jenkins is playing ok and Williams pretty good. Just not much depth there, especially with Williams age being a factor

What many are missing is just how young the guys we have are on defense.
Whether than pan out or not our front 7 is young as hell. I tried to find a age grouping for starters in the NFL but failed

@MikeDetillier: DL. Akiem Hicks was a major disappointment. Wanted a major $$ contract. Athletic & flashed- can't get off blocks quick & average instincts
So that's really what its all about. We didn't want to give him the payday.

Because if we had a real awesome DT in the middle, the line would look so much better.
He'd eat up blockers, freeing up Jordan and whoever is in on the other side.
