No. The media already knows the game is a mismatch, and LSU will look bad if it lets Fournette keep playing in a lopsided game just to pad stats. It would most likely turn into a negative.

frick the media.

You act like other juggernauts of the past have not run up the score for the sake of it. Look at Oklahoma under Bob Stoops, Ole Miss in their first two games of the season, USC under Pete Carroll, Miami teams of the past, etc.

It's the opponent's job to stop you. Plain and simple. There's no need to insult them by half-assing it. I'm not suggesting Fournette get 30+ touches. But if the record is within reach and his carries are at a reasonable number, then why the hell would you not take a stab at it?

Nobody gave Oklahoma shite last year for letting Samaje Perine break Melvin Gordon's short-lived single-game rushing record against a shitty Kansas team.
