Get there an hour earlier than you could ever possibly imagine anyone else would be there and walk 3x farther into sherburne than you think you should. That way, you'll probably only get peppered with shots from other squirrel hunters a half-dozen times.

Seriously, opening morning of squirrel season on Sherburne is a war zone. There will be a billion people out there hunting.

I didn't realize a lot of hunters still went there for squirrel! Was never a fan of the place

What do you think about a mid morning hunt? Seems like there would be less hunters if i head in around 10am or so. Think the squirrels will be on the move?
