I think the problem is, there could come a game or two where LF is stopped. We will have to throw to win. Our D just gave up 24pts to a 5th string QB. We have to develop some kind of passing game in order to survive any shoot out. I though BH threw the ball well Saturday. We , at some point, will need a 270yd passing game.

The drive-killer are the penalties that create long yardage situations. Remove offensive penalties and the score vs Syracuse would have been a near blowout.

ever year we run into a team or two that stacks the box and stops our run game.
We will need a passing game to take advantage of single coverage.
we can win 10 games a year with 100 yards passing a game don't see a championship though.

Ding! Ding! Ding!

We have a winner!!!

This times 1000.

This is the reason its important to have a more balanced attack. At some point, someone (Bama every year) will stop your run game. Than what? Wouldn't it been a good idea to prepare yourself for those times so when you finally find yourself in that situation you don't piss down your leg?
