He did take a right cross to the facemask to loosen it up and then he knocked it off himself completely with his rip move.

I was outside Tiger Stadium about 5 years ago hanging out before the game. We hear this siren approaching and someone says that it's probably the referees. Immediately the lady next to me says "I hope it's not that bug-eyed dude." That was 5 years ago.

Last year, I watched Texas A&M play somebody (not LSU) at Kyle Field so I don't have a dog in the fight. And Ritter's crew is calling the game. So I tell myself to watch from a neutral perspective and not biased like I know I am when the Tigers play.

After watching the game, came to the conclusion that Ritter's crew is just bad. Like the Debo late hit call, his crew missed calls left and right. Just plain bad. And they missed stuff both ways.

Where I ended up was he is probably a good guy who is liked by the SEC so that's why he has lasted so like long. However, he and his crew are above their capability calling SEC football games. It's hard to tell a good person that there services aren't needed anymore. But someone at the SEC office (maybe Steve Shaw), needs to step up to the plate and move this crew along. They don't belong officiating in the SEC IMO.
