If we ran the wishbone with our current QB and running backs how many yards on the ground we could run up? Over 500 yards per game? I'd have to think many big runs in the 2nd half after the defense is worn down.

For one, we wouldn't be able to recruit like we do just bc the mega star RBs done want to play in this style of offense. Because it doesn't prepare them for the NFL

Then the receivers would not come to LSU nor would LSU be effective like 99 percent of the teams that ran wishbone in the 70s. Duh!

It would be fun to see 3 of lsu's running backs in the backfield at one time. It might be a nice wrinkle 3-4 times a game.
AU defense would probably just quit if they saw, fournette, wiilams and guice lined up all at once. That Is a whole lotta pain pointed at the defense.

I'm not sure many teams would know how to defend it without a long time to prepare for it. It would be hard to install an effective defense for it if LSU only ran it occasionally.

How difficult would it be to install the wishbone with our current offensive sets? LSU seems to be running a more variable offensive scheme than their usual power I formation even though they are still run heavy.

If we ran the wishbone, we wouldn't have our current QB and running backs.

Nor would we have Dural, Dupre' et. al.
