he will almost definitely play enough to get his 100 yards 
it should only take 10-15 carries. that's not mileage on the body by any stretch of the imagination.
hype is good for the program and so are heisman winners.. he's certainly got the talent. if LSU is successful all season long and goes 10-2 or better he has a legit shot at it.

What are the rumors? Anything besides a minor thigh bruise (dead leg)
If it is enough to slow him down I agree we shouldn't play him. Not playing like himself against Syracuse hurts his chances more than missing the game.
