Went July 3-6 and absolutely had a blast! We are looking to schedule another visit November 1-6. Our TA has narrowed it down to two resorts, Caribbean Beach and French Quarter. We stayed last time at French Quarter and it was awesome. Does anyone here have any experience with Caribbean Beach? Pros/cons?

Family consists of myself, wife, 2 y/o, 1 y/o. All no pics.

Check out the tree houses. They're awesome. Got to stay in one in May and would highly recommend for anyone. A little pricy but secluded and a personal boat to and from downtown disney

We've stayed at both. Port Orleans Riverside hands down.

Upstairs corner room not facing a parking lot is what we request.

You have to start PIIHB.

Go during Gay Week and ask the habitual Anal Banditos for instructions.

I've been to both. Only been to CB once but have stayed at POFQ multiple times. POFQ is WAY BETTER specifically because it's much smaller. I found the wait times for buses to be much better AND you don't have to make like 4 other stops at your resort. Location wise, I do t believe there is much difference. Now CB does have a pretty cool pool with the fort theme and the ground are nice. But we found POFQ to be just a more suitable resort for us. Also, I don't believe CB is a conference resort. Pretty sure there aren't any conference facilities there. I think Coronado Springs is the only moderate level conference resort.

Also someone mentioned paying for wifi....I'm pretty sure it's free at all resorts now. I know the parks all have free wifi. We're actually considering staying at POFQ in Jan with our 2 girls (one will be 3 months shy of 4 years and the other will be 10 months). We were going to stay at Art of Animation but the only rooms left there for when we want to go are the family suites.

I'll echo what some others have said... go with POFQ

Mainly for bus situation, also less spread out.
Upper floor corner room.
Wifi is free.

Enjoy, should be a great time of the year to visit - more so than your July 3-6 trip

I liked them both. Almost identical experiences, although I liked The Caribbean pool and restaurant set-up a tiny bit more. But The French Quarter was so quiet and relaxing. Either is fine.

I've stayed at both as well and I prefer FQ over CB. CB is really spread out, so if you're not near the food court or bus stop it's a hike.

No experience with those, GF, Swan, CR are great. IMO Swan/Dolphin (Epcot) are best bang for the buck. GF is most upscale.

Regardless, definitely consider one of the behind the scenes tours. They're great. The underground Disney tour was awesome. Takes an entire day. They include lunch. Shows how rides are managed, history of Main Street, inside the castle, costuming, details of haunted house, and the entire underground disney network.

CB - very spread out and very large. The buses are packed and it takes forever to get through the property bus stops. I would suggest FQ unless you're driving your own car.

CB has the pirate themed rooms .. So I would request one since you have small children with you.

Have a Magical Time!

I've stayed at:

Caribbean Beach
Contemporary Resort
Port Orleans: French Quarter
Art of Animation
Coronado Beach

My favorite is still French Quarter. Not very crowded, good food, awesome late night music. The option of riding the boat or the bus - buses rarely crowded unless going to Riverside as well. Caribbean Beach is nice but can be crowded. I say just do a new one each year.

And you should really look into DVC membership if you enjoyed it that much. It's is not your typical timeshare. We are members now and should've done it 5 years ago.

I'm only doing Disney cruises from now on. But I hate long lines and stupid rides. My kids vote cruise also.

I'm going during Thanksgiving this year. Staying at Port Orleans. Never stayed there but I hear it's okay.
