Or, a two+ hour one-way drive from Manchester to Burlington. If a person was staying in Southern VT (like Manchester), I wouldn't suggest driving through Stowe, up through Smuggler's Notch, go west through Jericho/Underhill, and back to Exit #11 because it would take a full day to do that.

If someone was staying in Southern VT, I would suggest many nice and scenic areas to visit. Waterbury>Warren/Waitsfield>Middlebury/Lake Champlain>Southern VT is a nice drive with picturesque places to visit while not going that far north.
