Haven't seen much about how he's been doing, but I haven't really looked much either.

Still putting up crazy numbers? Playing defense too?

Tia.

Still playing some linebacker.

First game vs Haynesville, he had 200 something yards and 4 TDs. One on a kickoff. Broke 1 for about 50 yards. Lots of carries in that one and was really grinding in the first half, then NW broke it open in the second.

Second week vs Homer had 2 TD, one on a punt. Didn't get a whole lot of carries in that one as NW cruised to a 28-0 win.

They play 4A Minden tonight.

Garner and Dinardo got it right. Running wise he's done very well and has shown me some new wrinkles (a little shiftier in the hole, a few more moves in the open field and being able to read the hole quicker so that he can hit high gear in the hole or just coming out of it). His team leadership has been more positive, as well. Stamina and strength are still excellent. Having said that, he still takes off to many plays to please me, his blocking has remains very weak and he's not making as many tackles this year from MLB. OTOH we've rested him more on defense this year than we did last yr. His FB account has a pic of he and Fournette from today's game.

ETA: RBU, DW and LF

Devin got a taste of humble pie this past Friday. He had less than 50 yards rushing on quite a few carries as their team was overwelmed by 5A Ouachita parish HS 33-0.

He is definitely a good athlete and goes both ways. Games like this will only make him "rezoom" his focus on the small things. He looked good as a pure tackler and - at times - put some big league hits on Lion ball carriers.

Was lucky to see him in person - because he certainly looks the part as a difference maker at the next level. Sorry, no official stats to share.
