I am not demanding LSU throw it every first down, but they need to at least make defenses respect the pass. did miss st ever have fewer than 8 men in the box?

I think 20-25% is enough to make a team respect it. Our identity is to line up and run the ball. Not to mix it up on 1st down.

throwing on 3rd and long everytime is not conducive to high % of 3rd down conversions IMO. the defenses will pin their ears back on every 3rd down until harris shows he can throw the ball downfield and hit receivers.

Of course. They ran a 4-3 most of the game. That is seven in the box. They added an eighth later on, mostly. Not sure why people on this board have it so exaggerated in their heads. Look at tge toss lead analysis... 4-3 every time
