From the mid 70's thru the mid 80's the Pittsburgh vs. Penn St. game was about as good a rivalry as there was. Also Oklahoma vs. Nebraska was a huge game each year. I will also say that UCLA vs. USC has lost its place as a big time game.

I still love watching USC/UCLA just for the visual experience. The colors of both home jerseys, the Rose Bowl grass, the 80 degree weather when it's freezing balls everywhere else. It's pretty awesome.

its not as big as it was in the 60s and the 70s, but both teams are going to be good this year

I don't know what the CFB historian say, but for me PSU's dumping the Pitt rivalry and going for the big $$$ in the Big 10 was the opening of our current era of conference musical chairs
