I can't seem to keep my replacements alive. ill hatch about a dozen or so every two weeks, but only one or two will stay alive. my brooder looks exactly like that. only thing I haven't tried is putting more electrolytes and stuff in the parents water

Are you regulating their temp? 100 week one, 95 week 2, 90 week 3. When they get their adult feathers we put them outside. We also start them out with feed on a paper plate. After 4/5 days they usually figure out the feeder & we pull the plate. We put rocks 1st couple weeks in with their water. Keeps the water clean & keeps them from drowning. 1st sight of a bully we kill. Male or female. We had a female kill 3/4 birds before we figured it out and got rid of her. Male wasn't doing his job either. Got to protect those hens.
