Brandon Harris is the QB we've been waiting for since Ryan Perrilloux left the program. That was a long long time ago.

Harris has the big arm, mobility to break down defenses and extend drives, big enough to see and take some pounding, smart, has moxy...

it's going to be much fun/joy on Saturday's

He's the QB Les Miles has always wanted. He just needs to start trusting him.

Made that cut on the third down run between two defenders look effortless.

I got a little emotional after we went up 14-0 in the first. I loved the world. Just to see a very competent offense for 1 half was wonderful.

I am 100% confident Harris has more than 14 passes for AU. I'm thinking 20-22 since it's at home.

He has great upside. I just hope we start calling pass plays that will assist in his development and more pass attempts.

It's like being on a roller coaster.

I agree with you. I saw a lot of potential in this team last night. Our starting DTs are extremely good, and Herron and Gilmore looked solid (Did QT play?). Bower is very active at DE. Neal played with a lot of discipline, and seemed solid at DE. Key looks like a great role player as a pass rusher this year, and we have Clark and Teuhema for depth.

Linebackers were all over the field. Debo is bringing the wood, and we knew Beckwith was great.

Secondary is full of stars. Every guy is excellent in the secondary.

Running backs and receivers look very good, Harris looked great.

Our only weakness right now appears to be assimilating the young offensive linemen in the pass blocking schemes. Maybe that's what the coaches saw that made them afraid to throw.

I remember last season when everyone was screaming that everyone loves the backup QB. I don't hear anyone screaming for Jennings.

Fo sho. What LSU needs is to take the ball away from LF more.

It's true despite your failed attempt at sarcasm. LF was much more effective when there was the threat that we might pass. If we keep the safeties off the line of scrimmage, LF will get his 150 yards on 20 carries.

Yep. Should be no excuse not to open up the offense going forward. We play Auburn next at home with a trash secondary. I actually think they might have a worse defense than State.

After that, we have three more chump games that he should air it out against until we play UF at home. By that time, we should be hitting our stride.

Did I miss something? Is Miles still the coach? Miles will continue to do what he does....hamstring our athletes and play not to lose. frick that. I was really hoping for optimism after last night, but I see the same pattern emerging on offense.

We are a three TD better team than State. Miles has lost me. I can't continue to stick my head in the sand while we run the same ole predictable crap on offense. It's fricking frustrating and I have no clue how y'all can't think that Miles' effectiveness hasn't reached the end of its' road.

Why do you have to bring this nonsense in here? Why do you even have to bring this stuff up? Harris is the starter, and will be the starter going forward. Nobody talks about the backup until they actually need him.

Get used to more of what you saw last night next week...... Harris could light that secondary up... But Les AGAIN will play it close to the vest against a team like AU......

You're right on this. On drives where BH had a play of 10 yds or greater running or throwing, we had 235 total yds and 3TDs. 82 total yards when he didn't. Likewise LF had 13 carries for 118 (9.08 ypc) under the same conditions and 15 for 41 yds (2.73 ypc) without a BH 10+ play.

LF is definitely the feature player but BH provides the balance and threat that makes it work.
