I am about to move there from Houston, only doing so because my wife took the kids and filed for divorce up there.
From what I can tell the Dallas area sucks compared to Houston.

Funny, I was supposed to move to Houston - West side.. Katy , Cypress area.. and commuted back and forth for 16 months until my son graduated from HS. Houston sucks way more IMO compared to DFW.. No zoning laws, traffic way worse. Only thing Houston had was it was closer to Gulf, and seafood choices were much better.. that's all.

I am guessing that lawyers would tell you that this is a very bad idea
Get a lawyer and send it to local Houston court to bring her butt back
