He's got like 11 easy games to get ready for the next big one. Will be fine with that candy arse schedule.

Come on Kosmo. This is a bait-click thread.

That being said, I want to see JT Barrett at the helm more.

He did pretty good last year. Those were tough teams he played.

yes, his ship has sailed.

oh wait.

i forgot he gets to pad his stats for most of the year.

should be a lock to put up solid 1st half stats in most of those games.

It seems odd that he got the starting nod.

Barrett was pretty great last year, and Jones was noteworthy for not being bad even though he was third string. He was a surprise, but OSU won because of their run game and defense in the playoffs.

I could see why they would start him if they wanted to use Barrett's redshirt, but that's obviously not the case.

Cardale is a stud. I think he's better than Barrett- his arm strength gives y'all a dimension in the passing game that takes your offense to the next level.

The stats don't tell the full tale. That kid has the whole package from what I've seen. He's got a cannon for an arm, has nice touch, is very hard to bring down, AND can beat you with his feet. Like all QB controversies, I think the coaches know better that the rest of us.

JT Barrett is obviously better, but Urban will ride Cardale until he chokes a game away. But still with as much talent as there is around him, he might not choke one away.

Cardale is what puts OSU over the top in terms of being almost unbeatable IMO. I think he's more special than people think. He has uncanny poise, and he's nearly "untacklable." You can't scheme against his size and physicality, and then he beats you over the top with a cannon for an arm and doesn't make any mistakes. He is, IMO, the difference-maker for OSU.

JT is more of your typical spread qb that you find around the country and he's very good at it... but defenses are scheming around that more and more. There's no scheming around 6'5, 260 or whatever he is.

I would take him as my qb. He is going to bust in the NFL though

Lol is this where all the OSU fans who said JT would 100% be the starter come back and try to say Jones didn't deserve to start?
