I'm starting to sense there might actually be something to switching between FUT and H2H

I switch between the 2 pretty often and it doesn't really have many adverse effects.

I'm 5-0 in D1 seasons right now really feeling solid about a title run here. Really wanna see my ranking if I get it done

I've heard rumors that building a new squad alleviates it. I'm frustrated because after a huge winning streak in H2H Seasons (Pushed Div 7 to Div 1 in a couple nights with ease) and a huge streak in FUT to win 3 straight titles, my team suddenly plays completely different than before.

I've done this a million times, but I decided to flash my router to update to Merlin's latest firmware and reconfigure it. I've been playing matches, documenting my analysis, quitting the FIFA 16 app, hard resetting the Xbox One (unplugging from the mains for 2 minutes every time), and playing again. The first match I tried with UPnP enabled only, it was bad so I quit. Second, I had all the ports forwarded with UPnP on. This should never be the answer simply because they conflict with each other a bit. UPnP's been janky with all EA games for a while, but I decided to try again with the ports forwarded and UPnP for any ports it needed. It was little better and I won, but it was still awful. Bad touches, errant passes, etc. I'm trying this next with UPnP disabled and ports forwarded, which was what I've had for some time.

I'll update with the results, but I'm almost 100% sure that it's got nothing to do with my internet connection or router. My router's a $300 high-end gigabit router that could literally kill a bear with its power. I noticed some packet loss (~7-8%) on the first EA node, but it was intermittent.

Honestly, at this point, I believe it's either hardcoded into the game with the severity of the frickery modified via DB values being changed or Prolexic's involvement as DDOS prevention. Possible since they're associated with many of the games that share this issue of strange, unexplainable gameplay issues that the publisher ignores despite loads of people reporting it. That could explain the small packet delay behaviors.

At this point, I just want to know what the frick's going on. Both the FIFA addict and software engineer in me are on a lifelong mission to solve this.
