good point, I'm in the Drew was injured camp for last year. I think his ability or performance in negligibly less versus '09.
Comparing the OL-
Bushrod was starting for the first time and unproven. Armstead looks poised to become an All Pro IMO
Stinchcomb/Strief is about a wash for me
Unger is already an All Pro caliber Center. Goodwin was good but approaching decline at age 31
Nicks/Evans then was one of the best guard tandems I have ever seen. Definitely better than an apparently now aging Evans. Lelito clearly the weakest link.
If Evans can get back to form and Lelito not be a black hole the current crew could be up the '09 performance.
Sacks are not THE only stat but they are reflective of overall pass protection. Keep Drew upright and more like the 20 sacks of 2009 vs. 30 in 2014 and the offense should roll.

I'd agree he was probably more injured than he let on but he was filthy in 2009. Idk if we can ever expect anything close to that again.

Agreed although I think the Armstead hype train is still pretty premature on here. He hasn't done much so far.

Agreed.

If healthy Unger is better, and it's not a debate.

This is the biggest hole. Those two were Mack Trucks in 2009. We won't have anything close to that this year.
Overall I think O will struggle some in redzone (for the same reason no one wants to admit and will be pissed when the announcers bring it up every week but it's the truth), but we'll be fine overall. The defense will clearly be the issue.
