The lease was less than a year, so I just asked for 30 days notice. But what did the lease say about vacating and personal property? Surely you had that language in your lease right? If not just call him and tell him he needs to get anything they want out of there by a certain date. And it sounds like it's a different monster again because both former and new tenant apparently are talking without you being involved?
