quote:
Roads, education, and healthcare are absolutely abysmal in LA.
That all depends on where you live and how much money you have, and how hard you want to work and earn a living.
I went to a phenomenal high school, I have an undergrad from LSU, a law degree from Loyola, and I'll be getting an MBA from UNO.
We have nationally recognized Elementary, high school, med school, law school, and colleges.
We have some of the best food in the world and the people here are genuine. Truely mixed neighborhoods exist here. We're a melting pot. We have a massive influx of young talent and businesses. We have old money and establishelment. We have poor and middle class and upper class and they all live within blocks of each other all over the city.
There are plenty of reasons to live in nola. And life is not all about garnering the most money possible without regard for anything else.
How long will friends and family enjoy living near each other? What kind of a stupid fricking question is that? You're knocking a city and its people because they genuinely like being together? This is new Orleans. When you're here, your family. I wouldn't have it any other way.
Who dat?!
How's ya momma and them?
Bet I can tell you where you got them shoes.
Nola or leave. Dr. Bob.
To sum up:
Go frick yourself, I'll stay in my city, I'll defend it till I die, and as much as I hate you, I'll give you a beer, a handshake, and a bowl a jambalaya if you come by my house or my tailgate because I'm a neworleanian, and I love my city and I'll ways show a stranger some hospitality and a good time.
