SUNSET, LA (WAFB) -
There are reports of multiple people shot, including a police officer, in the town of Sunset, Louisiana. A law enforcement source tells WAFB the suspected shooter is barricaded inside a mini-mart and a standoff is underway.

Sunset Police have confirmed that one of their police officers was shot. KLFY-TV in Lafayette reports that there are other victims as well. Some have been transported by Acadian Ambulance from a location on Anna Street.

Source say there are several ambulances and helicopters in the area as there may be "multiple scenes." The officer was transported via helicopter to a hospital.

WAFB has a crew en route to Sunset. More information will be added as it comes in from St. Landry Parish.
