It all depends on what your goals/values are.

If you are single, and don't care to build a savings and are willing to live for the moment, so be it. As long as you can take care of yourself and aren't going to be a leach on society more power to you.

If you have a family and are putting your leisure above the comfort and well being of your family...

Personally, I work a lot. I make sure I'm not absent and actually spend a lot of time with the family, but I'm seldom doing nothing and often working during off times. Hard work doesn't hurt.
