Looking for a 2006 or under jeep.. and what are some things to look for? I was told to get a rubicon.. In line 6 cylinder. That's all I know so far. I do know they're proud of those mother bitches.

Why are you leaning towards a 10 year old vehicle? Serious question. Because if you are looking at a Jeep you aren't looking for practicality.

Why not a newer model?

Unless you are a mechanic then don't get one.

I would say they top 4 on this list are accurate. After that they started to get a little humorous.

As you can see they are big on the Jeep Rubicon but they are saying 2007 or later...

My pops bought a 99 4cl for hunting, etc. $6k with 80k miles. It does well in the woods. If you re not going to tow much, I would suggest looking at a similar one. People ask way too much for the V6's, IMO.

That's a good bet. My wife had a 2005 Rubicon Unlimited (2 door, long body) that was awesome. We loved that jeep but had to get rid of it. Now, she has a '12 that is even better. Lift and all. Also, I am in the market for one also - and have grand plans for it.

1. Don't do it.
2. Get a backup, aftermarket transmission if you do.
3. Don't do it.

Get one, you will love it then hate it then love it again then hate it again . I never really hated it, but they weren't comfortable commuting vehicles.

Finally when you figure out a couple of years later you can still get out of it what you paid for it you will sell it and then wish you still had it. I know I've done that 2x, with a 2000 soft top and a 2010 JK Unlimited. Never the 1st bit of trouble with either, other than wishing they had more horses under the hood. I'll get another one when my commute gets shorter.
