Casinos and sports betting in LA

Why is there no sports betting in Louisiana casinos?....does it have something to do with the term "gaming" when the boats were brought in? TIA

Full fledged sports betting is only legal in Nevada, and in Delaware under very limited circumstances.

Because it is prohibited under state law. Yes, it is legally because of the definition of the word gaming.

You can't bet on sports regularly anywhere but Nevada. This has been the case for decades.

hijack.... I'm beyond pissed that daily fantasy websites are still illegal in this state.
