Never been tempted.

Not trying to flame but the entire habit was/is disgusting to me. I didn't come up around anyone who did it.

I won't let anyone do it on my boats or property or at my work, f having spit cups or bottles around. It is no longer generally acceptable in the professional workplace (IMO). I merely outlawed all tobacco use "on campus".

If someone wants to do it in public, that's still their right, just like if I eat in public, I clean up after myself, they should as well. If they do, I have no problem with it.

I did for a couple of years in college, until I started to get ulcers in my mouth. That freaked me out. Fortunately, it was easy to quit.

Cope snuff for several years when I was in college. I was going through about a can a day, maybe a day and a half sometimes. During sophomore and junior years I basically always a dip in if I was awake. My dentist read me the riot act after one cleaning and I decided it was time to give it up because I didn't want my pearly whites to fall out. For as much as I dipped, I just stopped that day and never really had any bad cravings to have another. I thought I'd have a beast of a time quitting. The only times I ever get slight cravings is when I'm really stressed.

Red Man Straight. $1.29 a can, better than Skoal. Haven't quit yet but my dips have become smaller and more rare. People can never tell when I have one in so I'm pretty much able to do it anywhere.

Not proud of the habit but back in HS the coaches didn't care so it kind of went along with playing baseball
