I am assuming you could not or simply chose not to stay in a dorm. I stayed in dorms since I had to travel a long way to get to school ( and I dislike the Interstate)
Since I hail from Leesville, it takes me roughly 3 hours to get to Ruston. Leaving Leesville, it takes about 4 hours hours to get to my place in Baton Rouge.
I graduated from Tech, but I do not regret being at Southern. I personally feel it has given me the best education experiences I will ever have.
