I've never understood why Tech is considered to have a better engineering school than LSU. When I've ever seen engineering school rankings LSU is ahead of Tech every time

Personally, I have noticed this myself. I made that clause in my first comment so that someone would mention it. I spoke with a PhD engineer once about schools and he personally proclaimed that Tulane is generally considered the best Engineering school in LA at least in his circles.

I wonder who graduated from one and then somehow made themselves ignorant enough to take same subject at other in order to compare??

From personal experience and hearing it from the academic advisors myself, LSU is harder in engineering than Tech. A lot less people graduate at LSU in engineering compared to Texh.
