USC/ND is considered the greatest intersectional rivalry in CFB.

They have been playing since 1926, when each team traveled across the country by train because plane travel wasn't available (hence the different times of the fall it was played).

Five of the ten most watched football games are the SC/ND rivalry, and more national championships have been decided by the game.

The historical significance is matched only by a couple of others.

And Dukke, you have no idea what you are talking about. As an 'SC alum I know.

And there are numerous of SC alums that I know who would put the game with the Bruins higher just because they interact with them more. But it really isn't that big a deal

So what????? The game has meant NOTHING the last ten years as far as the national scene goes.. They have both been rated twice in yen years..........
