Related--Any one have any recommendations for one or two Ryan Adams albums for someone who is just trying to get into his music?
He keeps popping up on my pandora streams, but I'd like a complete record.

Logjamming - you can't go wrong with Cold Roses as a starting point.

It depends on what you're into. His records span so many moods and styles that it's hard to say. My personal list goes:
1.) Love is Hell (though it's probably his darkest record)
2A.) Heartbreaker
2B.) Cold Roses
2C.) Jacksonville City Nights
And every thing else is tied for third, depending on my mood. Except the self titled record. It sucks balls.

I think his two most immediately catchy and accessible albums are Heartbreaker and Gold. The songs also cover the gamut from sad lovesick blues to rockers.
