quote:

Ryan Adams is covering 1989 in its entirety and Taylor Swift just loves it. These are Smiths-inspired covers, mind you, so get ready for a lot of melancholy jangle; it's Adams' take on Taylor's "Bad Blood."

Caught this guy on Later with Jools Holland the other night... was impressed.

Without me clicking why would he cover Taylor Swift?

I've been loving all the ep's he's been putting out lately, so I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt on this one.

Smiths inspired? I was expecting some Johnny Marr guitar style.

Related--Any one have any recommendations for one or two Ryan Adams albums for someone who is just trying to get into his music?

He keeps popping up on my pandora streams, but I'd like a complete record.

not really hearing The Smiths on this.
sounds like another Ryan Adam's album, which is fine with me. I really like it.

Its actually pretty good. Although I prefer Josh Tillman's version better

Father John Misty's reinterpretation of the classic Ryan Adams album "1989"
