My problem with the show, beyond what's been pointed out, is that is basically looks back on the past with 20/20 retrospect and says "This is what SHOULD have happened."

Of course it's easy to know what should have happened if you already know how things are going to play out.

Completely agree. The shows negatives are obvious in that regard plus the left winged bias.

I still find it entertaining and well-written. The quick-witted responses and insults are my type of humor, so that hasn't gotten old for me yet.

For what it is and what it's trying to do, it's still been a great watch so far.

my exact complaint. Its still a very well made show but it always bothered me. It is more revisionist history

It was that college history or sociology class that was really interesting until you realized that the teacher was insane and was infusing his personal world-view into every lesson.

every CMST class

That's what West Wing did, for the most part. I can't deal with one where the premises are skewed and then piled high with sanctimonious arguments against something that doesn't exist in the form it was portrayed.

The west wing (albeit i have not watched the whole series) was here is the perfect liberal president way of handling the world. The events of the show were pulled from reality but were still fictional.

The Newsroom is real events dictated with perfect hindsight via left journalist.
