I don't know much about spring piston air rifles, but I know mine is a Gamo in .22 that I got for cheap at Academy, and it drops crows with no problem. It took me a little learning, but the spring piston air rifles are very sensitive to how you hold them. Google "artillery hold for air rifles." Once I figured this out, it has been extremely accurate. I've had good results with Benjamin Discovery Hollow Point pellets that can be found at Academy. They are very accurate and heavy hitters.

I'll swing by the Academy on the way home from work and check out their pellet selection. The Wally World was sold out of .22 pellets.

Oh, and I've bought about 5k rounds of 22LR at Wal Mart the last couple of months so it can be had if oyu are persistent. And that 5k was buying it 3 boxes at a time.

But if you are ever at the Dicks Sporting good in Auburn they are always ate up with 22LR. Guess no real gun lovers actually shop there.
