Incubus were so lame. Deftones were just go ok. Again the layout of the place killed any potential crowd energy. Sucks that Korn has the same layout. At least it ended early.

I enjoyed Deftones. Never seen nor heard them before.

Incubus was blah. I was disappointed

No shite. The fact that there was so much space devoted to the pit area was absolutely ridiculous. After being right against the state at the House of Blues to watch Neurosis the night before, it sucked being so far away for a concert like that.

We were about as close as you could be for the back section and it still felt too far away. Plus, you had the usual frickers rushing to the front and pushing past people half way through the set.

Plus, I found the sound quality for Deftones to be pretty lackluster. I could barely hear Stephen's guitar at times.

I actually thought Incubus did a pretty good job with their light show. I figured they would be much tamer than Deftones and honestly I was okay with that after being out in that heat for awhile.

However, I will agree that Brandon did a shitty job at hyping up a crowd that will comprised mostly of Incubus fans.

How were each of their sets? Goin to the Red Rocks show next Monday.

Deftones had a very well-rounded set. With the exception of maybe one or two gems I would have loved to see them throw in, I couldn't have asked for more.

Also, incubus was predictably a pop concert and a shell of their former selves. How do you go from SCIENCE to that radio bullshite?

It was definitely a pretty stark contrast to watching some of the mini pits open up during Deftones' performance.

Definitely wasn't the same intensity of Incubus that opened up for the Deftones at the State Palace Theater in 2000, but hell, I had fun. Kinda bummed that the Deftones didn't play anything off the new album, but I guess they were expecting a mostly Incubus crowd.

They said prior to the tour that they wouldn't be showcasing any new material. I had no problem with that.

Having the only Pit entrances in the middle of the freakin GA was terrible. C'mon, use your noodle!
