I can see the prince comparison.

I think it's worth noting that I wouldn't necessarily consider Miguel's style of music to be one that I tend to like, and yet I really like his stuff.

You know how singers will have different "verbal tics" (for lack of a better phrase)...an extreme example would be Michael Jackson's "hee HEEE! Well, I love Miguel's. He goes "aaaaaalright", and it sounds gooood. He's got a great voice, and he doesn't oversing either. He uses it properly instead of trying to show off pipes, as some singers are known to do (::cough:: christina aguilera :cough cough:).

Im a big fan of some of the new school r&b. there was another thread where some idiot said Miguel is getting overshadowed by the Weekend. which is retarded. weekend is a try hard and his whiny arse voice kills my nerves
