Plenty of SUVs have the towing capacity to pull a decent sized travel trailer. One thing to look at though is your tires. P rated, or passenger tires, will feel much less steady and be less safe than LT tires which have stronger sidewalls. In addition to the tires, the anti sway hitch helps alot.

This. And the weight distribution hitch is well worth the $. My trailer doesnt sway and it helps when 18 wheelers pass you. That first big rig that sucks you in when he passes at 80 is quite the rush
