You will run out of payload before you max your pull weight. Suburban has about 1700lbs of payload, pin weight if a travel trailer is usually about 110% of the trailers GVWR - pick your trailer, subtract the pin weight and your families weight and that will tell you if your safe to pull - you should also subtract the weight of a full tank of gas - you will see how quickly it is eaten up.
