Can Coach O coach up MJ enough to make him a serviceable back up at DT? I think so. I'm not saying he'll be Quay Bain, but he might be able to salvage something from this. Wasn't MJ always one of the strongest guys on the team? It seems to me he was a work out warrior but was not getting taught how to play the position at the SEC level.

I think the better question is can O get something out of Herron and Gilmore

I don't think Mickey is going to see much playing time

No one can really say. We hope.

I think more than anything he'll be a guy who logs time late in blowout games when you don't want your contributors at risk for injury. Anything more is icing on the cake.

I just want to know the real reason as to why Bain just up and transfers, one min he is happy to be back playing with the team and the next he is leaving??? hope O can get these boys ready.

Couldn't O talk some sense into Bain?

As do I. I had high hopes for Mickey, and was disappointed when he transferred. He was one of my favorite recruits from his class. He seemed to play with a real ferociousness. Plus, his HS highlight video was set to some wicked, slowish metal tune, as if satan was slowly descending you into hell.

So you don't think he can replace 6 tackles and one pass breakup on the year? You guys act like we lost Nkamadong Suh.

I know you are kind of stating this as your opinion, but how in the hell can you conclude that Johnson was not getting taught how to play his position?

if a player doesn't pan out, it SEEMS TO ME that people always blame the coaches. just like in the classroom great teachers also have slow learners.

Put big Adrian Magee at DT for this year instead of oline to shore up depth, at least he could take up some space in the middle
