I have had cops draw down on me twice for getting out. I have gotten pulled over a lot, so now I just sit back and wait for them to come to me.
Moral of the story is don't get out unless they tell you to.
I tell them if I have my gun on me (obviously) or if it is visible in my truck. 99% of the cops I have told, couldn't care less

Tip #1: Hands 10 & 2, Dome light on
Tip #2: Advise the Officer that you're a concealed carry permit holder
Tip #3: Display Identification - driver's license and carry permit
