I do not notify the officer. I keep my mouth shut and respond with one word answers. I offer no grounds to be offended or invitation to engage in conversation. No one is searching my vehicle without a warrant.

If the ticket is real, I deserve it. If the ticket is a BS stop, it'll be thrown out in court or fixed.

I keep one between the front seats, a marine shotgun behind the rear seat between it and the speaker box. There are extra mags in the door in plain sight, if asked, one word answers.
