There are a few steps that occur before you get to that point. I guess the point just flew over your head. But I'm guessing you cant understand that.

Having an armed population does many things for this country maybe too much for you to comprehend. Disarming the populace is definitely one of the first steps in governance of a tyrant. Becoming a police state is definitely the goal of any tyrant.

We have a Constitution that is becoming more and more meaningless by the day. The separation of powers in this country is slowly eroding. Ban guns today and tomorrow you will most certainly not see the hyperbole made of the SS running around but you certainly cant guarantee that 50 years from now for our children can you?

All for what?? A very very small part of the population wants to kill. Does the end justify the means?
