While I agree that you should charge whatever you feel is appropriate (and gain or lose money based on the feelings of the consumer) the problem here is a middle-man. College students and healthcare customers alike have no means by which to negotiate with the suppliers of goods and services. Their butts are beings sodomized by insurance companies and faculty. Price indexes have been severely distorted by the disparate distance between final consumers and suppliers - with government regulated bodies (ie aforementioned faculty and insurance companies) being the beneficiaries.
