The Passion killed Mel Gibson's career with a slow burn. How you might ask? By putting him on the "radar" so that he would be an easy target to tear down.

I think it had more to do with him hating on the jews. Apocalypto was actually pretty good.

Passion of the Christ made over $600 million on a $25 million budget. That's not gonna hurt anyone's career. Mel hurt himself with all those drunken messages about beating his wife and hating jews.
