Summer time, you should be outside enjoying it, then come winter when the weather sucks and you are stuck inside they release the games so you can play them.

And some of the money spent on video games is probably spent on vacations. I doubt anyone would buy their child a video game if they're on vacation (no console/PC available and already spending money).

After seeing prices for places like Universal Studios this year, I can see why I didn't get video games until Christmas as a child.

Dude, it's 97+ degrees outside every day for the next week with all your favorite swamp creatures thriving. And i work outside in cardio like situations sometimes. The summer is the last time of the year I want to be outside. Most days in the winter are in the 50s or 60s which is perfect outside weather.
