I understand the tiny kids...something like 6 yrs old should be the cut off. NOT 18! 18yr olds heading to college.

I would imagine that a couple of those people that answered 16-18 were providing a trolling response.

It's a poorly worded question by the way. It's asking "at what age should athletes receive participation trophies" when it seems that you actually want to know the age limit for receiving a trophy. That's not what was being asked though.
