Supergroups, Travelling Wilburys got me thinking just now.

Is there a man more respected by his peers (as both a musician and person)?

I don´t think so.

It is debatable if McCartney really respected him as a musician.

George was so loved by many especially back in the late 60's and 70's.

My favorite Beatle by a long shot. Seeing Paul live playing "Something" with photos of George in the background was one of the best moments of my life.

George was the perfect guitarist for the perfect band. It seems the respect for him grew as he aged. The Beatles breaking up was probably the best thing that could have happened for his career.

John and Paul never respected him in the Beatles. They always made it sound like they were doing George a favor by allowing him to record one of his songs.

All you have to do is look at the huge list of credits on All Things Must Pass. George may have been the MOST respected Beatle of them all.

I hope you don't consider his wife a peer because she slept with everyone she ever met...but Gh was my favorite beatle.
