It's simple. Certain people immediately dislike a player based on either why he was drafted or what he did during rookie year.
They are the people who screamed when the Saints drafted him because they wanted us to pick "their" player. So they now hate the pick and instead of hoping to be wrong, they pray that the player will bust out the league, proving their point.
Of course this is pretty silly considering they should hope that all players drafted by their favorite team become solid contributors instead of giving up on them after a year, but then again some have too much "pride" if that's what you want to call it.
