let me clarify that...
You need to be sure that you have an amplifier that can be stable driving loads that your speaker dips to, as the impedance that a speaker imposes on an amplifier is changing every millisecond. Some speakers have lower impedances in certain frequencies than others.
The nominal impedance of my loudspeakers is 8Ohm, however, I use the 4ohm tap on the amp as the speaker has a wicked impedance curve and it drops to 2.3ohm at around 2200Hz.
