OK so I have been continuing my search and have a few more questions for you Marco.
What do you think of Marantz as a whole and specifically the AV8802a (or 7702 for that matter) pre/pro?
What do you think of Emotiva amps and Marantz amps as compared with the Rotels because I think that's my front runner. I'll save the McIntosh stuff for when I can do it right with a bigger budget.

I like Rotel best of the 3, followed by Emotiva, then Marantz.
I will go deeper into the explanation tomorrow evening as it is 3:15am and I am tired
