Fact of the matter is that IF all the cubs are killed and they start over, there will be another batch of them shortly. Nobody will ever know the difference.

No. You suggested that a dominant male lion "forms" a pride, and that just isn't so. He takes an existing pride from another male. He doesn't wander around, picking up bachelorette lionesses with a, "Hey, baby - what's nice pussy like you, doing in a savannah like this?"
He challenges a dominant male of a pride. Typically, a dominant male is in charge 1 to 3 years before being displaced. So the pride, by and large IS the group of females. The male's only functions are to fight other males, eat and reproduce (sort of like in Livingston Parish).

my belief that animals are better than people is an indictment on people...not an endorsement of animals.

I have a lion hunt scheduled in Botswana for July 2019. We are going to do a fair chase baiting hunt, I'm going to use a 375 H&H which is the minimum caliber required for a dangerous game hunt in Botswana. I'm looking forward to it.

I'm not offended. I just like nature and animals. I'm not an environmentalist.
People need to build houses and businesses. People need to eat animals or kill them for other valid reasons. If you clear and build a house on land you own, good for you. If you destroy pristine land for no good reason, you're a douche. Similarly, if you kill animals for a reasonable purpose, fine. If you kill a lion to feed your ego, you're a douche.
