Mounting Bimini Slide Rails

I am looking for some options on this. I have a 19ft Sea Pro CC and am about to install a Bimini Top. I am wondering if I should mount the slide rails the Bimini attaches to on top of or right inside the gunwale. I do have a grab rail but there is plenty enough room to mount on top next to. I think inside will look better but think on top may be more functional.
